Drs. MHT (Marjolein) Jansen will become Director General of Spatial Planning at the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations. The Council of Ministers approved the proposal of Minister Bruins Slot of the Interior and Kingdom Relations. The appointment will take effect on June 12, 2023.
Marjolein Jansen has been Director General of the Land Use Planning/Environmental Law Program at the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations since September 2022. Prior to that, she was a member of the board of directors of Kadaster and held various positions, including that of vice-president of the board of directors of the Free University of Amsterdam and deputy general secretary in the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science at the level of a province and municipality.
Marjolein Jansen studied public administration at Leiden University and Erasmus University Rotterdam and environmental science at the Environmental Science Center of Leiden University.
This appointment was made under the procedure of the senior management of the General Administrative Service.
